Today was extremely boring. Extremely. Trust me. It's about that time when I crash, or at least try to. We'll see how it goes. I kinda need to stay up until the new Pearl Jam cd I bought, finishes downloading on my laptop. Which could take till tomorrow morning... Ugh! Anyways. I'm beat. I think I'll just let the lil' laptop hang out on the speaker till tomorrow morning, I really don't feel like staying up till then. Errrr... I'll get an Apple, one day. One day I tell you! Who knows, maybe I'll land a new job and earn super big bucks... Maybe?

....................

I've had writers block since.... 1983.¹ So how can I have a writing journal if I can't write? Good question. I don't have an answer.²

(1)Writer was born in June of 1983. (2) Answer: I'm an idiot.

Why is this book so spiffy you ask? Well I'll tell you. It has a short story by Chuck Palahniuk in it called If Death is a Doorway... Why Shouldn't it Have a Door Policy?!!! I nearly died when I saw his name listed on the book. So I bought it, of course. The book also features Augusten Burroughs,Douglas Coupland (cept I can't find where he is in the book?), and J.T. Leroy among others. So go and check it out!!! Now! Why are you still reading this? Go buy it now!

I live and breathe anything to do with wool or knitting needles. I find myself always asking the question," Could I spin this?" while walking around in stores. I'm following around random people at my work to get a closer look at their scarves and sweaters. *sigh* I think I'm truely loosing it. When I'm knitting or spinning, everything just seems to go away and vanish. Ahhhh... So nice. I think I'll go work on that Branching Out scarf, or go surf other knitter's and spinner's blogs.
I finished the little cupcake last night! It's so cute. I sewed on random pink/red/tan buttons on the top. It's on my window sil at the moment, I still need to take a photo of it. In the meantime, I just got up not to long ago, cleaned the place up a bit, and now I'm ready to wind my Claudia's Hand Painted yarn into balls and begin the Branching Out Scarf. I kinda started one a while back, but I didn't like the yarn I was using... Well, I did like the yarn, I just messed up on a stitch. Ok, I admitted it. lol But, I'm gonna do it again, and do it right this time. Now that I know what I did wrong last time. It said to sl2-k1-p2sso, so instead of slipping the the 2 stitches together, I slipped one at a time. I'm retarded, I know. Soooo... now I know. Here's the yarn I'm going to use for it:

Also I found this Branching Out blog. Check it out!

So I moved out on the 1st (well, the 31st, but not till that evening). I love the apartment, love my room, love everything. My roomate came in late last Friday evening. It's been great so far. I guess it helps to have been friends with your roomate for years and years though. He is still unpacking a bunch, but I have finished. I'm still bringing over little things slowly, but I'm mostly done. I've been hanging around and working on knitting projects here and there. It's nice. Cha Cha is deathly afriad of his cat Mr. Miogi. Awww poor thing. She'll snap out of it eventually. He is the sweetest thing ever! Anyways... here are some pics of the new place. Warning, these photo's were taken before the unboxing. Enjoy!

yarn stash corner

spinning wheel and two art easel's

slight view of my room

Cha Cha next to my knitting projects (she just saw Mr. Miogi, not a very happy kitty at the time)

figure collection in the living room

view from my bedroom window

I've been working on an artwork series, I dunno if thats the right words to use, but... sounds ok. For a while I've been trying to do a few paintings as a set... It came to me the other day! Why not combine my love of fiber and knitting w/ my love for art!? Soooo... I'm gonna be working on 3 peices that all kinds go with the theme. I haven't been able to start the project yet. (If you keep up with the blog, you will know I'm in the process of moving) I think the project will be super exciting and really fun. I'll keep you updated on the series....

On another note, I'm fully addicted to the computer game "Black & White". It's disturbingly fun... I say "disturbingly" cause in the game you play a God. You can pick up people and thrust them out off the island or feed them to your pet. It's great fun. Even more fun if you name the people your feeding to your pet, after certain co-workers and watch them get all chewed up. *tee-hee* I won't name any names, but I'm sure Derek, yes you, could think of one person in particular. *grin* Again, it's "disturbingly" fun!

When I got home, I checked the mail and guess what arrived. My iPod Nano case from iFrogz! Yay! It looks just like the picture on the site. It's cute!

I still have a little more packing to do today. *sigh* Can't wait till I move. It's gonna be so nice to be on my own again, plus living with Jason will be a blast. Two creative little minds at work, feeding off one another. *happy sigh* I'll be working on lots more artwork soon, and that makes me feel so much better. It's a big stress releiver from work. Ughh... Which I have to go to tomorrow. *grrrrrr* My days off just fly by.

See, I'm moving in 6 days, but thats not what I'm on the count down for. In 6 days, I'll be able to unpack all my knitting and spinning supplies. It's killing me! Need fiber, can't go on! Why I packed my knitting and spinning wheel first? I have no idea. But in the meantime, I've been ordering and buying more yarn. (Which means I need to pack that now too, ugh!) I ordered an iPod case for my Nano. It's been a while, but it was finally shipped. I got it from iFrogz.
Chain Link Scarf

I borrowed the book Loop-D-Loop from work, again. I love this book, I really should buy it one day... I really like the Chain Link scarf pattern, it's so different from any scarf I've seen. So I decided to go for it. I swung by Fiber Factory and picked up some Noro rainbowish yarn, and some skeins of some light grey yarn(I bought extra for another project too).

I altered the pattern a bit though. It said to CO 32 sts, but it didn't feel right when I knit it, so I CO on 43 instead, and did a seed stitch pattern. The pattern it called for curled way to much, even after blocking. Besides, I like the texture of the chain links. So, with all the little changes, I put in the movie Rent and went to town. I got only this far.

The movie was so good, I kept getting caught up in it! Anyways... I've only added 2 more chains to it this morning while watching Aeon Flux. (Love that cartoon series!) Hopefully I can add some more to the scarf a little later today. It's been a lazy 2 days off, lots of knitting time and movies.

My baby kitty Cha Cha! I had to post her, she's adorable!
